Environmental protection is a primary field of application for woven solutions from GKD. The most recent application is the use of media in direct air capturing where carbon dioxide from exhaust gases or the air is captured. Other major areas of application for filter belts can be found in dewatering of sewage sludge or of FGD gypsum in desulphurisation plants.

Especially in the field of ultrafine filtration, micro sieving is becoming increasingly important for retaining smallest particles in waste water treatment. Media from GKD also provide secure and durable solutions for the treatment of exhaust gases in industrial applications, in particular at high temperatures. It is extremely important to us that the filter media employed can be cleaned and applied multiple times and finally also recycled.
